WHO WE ARE
The pursuit of opportunity has defined America from our very beginning. This is a land of opportunity. The American Dream is a dream of equal opportunity for all. And the Republican Party is the party of opportunity.
Domestic Policy
2nd Amendment
The Republican party vows to defend the Second Amendment to its full extent. We are in favor of a principled approach that keeps weapons out of the hands of dangerous criminals, while still ensuring nobody's right is infringed on. We are against broad assault weapon bans.
Crime and Justice
We support a common sense approach to criminal justice. We favor a system that punishes violent offenders while striving to rehabilitate nonviolent offenders.
Drugs
We believe in allowing states to determine whether marijuana should be legal. We also support efforts by the state to rehabilitate drug addicts. We oppose effects to legalize dangerous drugs that are bad for not just the user, but community as a whole.
Civil Rights
The Republican Party is the party of civil rights. We gave woman the right to vote, abolished slavery, repealed the racist Jim Crow laws and introduced the Civil Rights Act of 1964. We reject affirmative action as we believe that people who are qualified for a job should get the job, and the same goes for education. We believe it is wrong to hire someone just because of how they were born.
Environment
The Republican Party believes in the moral obligation of the people to be good stewards of the natural beauty and resources of our country. We believe these obligations require us to balance economic development with reverence to conservation. We believe the government has the right and duty to protect the beautiful air, water, and land of our country.
Homeland Security
We believe in bringing military action against all terror-based groups and aggressors. We wish to see more collaboration between intelligence and law enforcement in providing for our collective security.
States’ Rights
We seek to restore the balance between the Federal Government and States just as the constitution intended. We support the use of block grants to States. We believe the States are best at caring for their own population.
Economic Policy
Economic Ideals
We believe in the beneficial power of the free market. We support a balanced approach in which the government works with the private sector to develop rules that promote efficiency while upholding the principles of accountability. The government should collaborate with industry managers and union leaders in this country to provide the best possible working conditions for our workers, while ensuring the competitiveness of American firms on the global market. We also support the continued protection of industries that provide for our common defense and general welfare.
Tax Reform
We as a party support a transparent and modern tax code. We support a tax system that doesn't penalize success, but does make sure those at the top pay more to help those at the bottom. We support a tax system that rewards domestic companies for bringing jobs back to the U.S.
Earned Benefits & Welfare
We believe in using Welfare as a safety net and not a hammock. We believe to collect welfare, a person must retain a certain quota of job applications per week. We also believe that the aged pension will soon face insolvency with our aging populous and because of this, we wish to encourage private pensions rather than the outdated government ones.
Infrastructure
We support efforts to address and solve problems concerning our aging infrastructure by increasing funding to infrastructure projects, expediting the approval process, and giving the states more power to determine the merit of projects they wish to pursue.
Energy
We support efforts to ensure energy independence in the U.S. This means exploring all options to expand the energy producing capacity of the U.S. and diversifying the sources we draw from, by expanding our nation's use of nuclear power, renewable energy resources, and natural gas.
Social Policy
Health Care
We do not believe that the government should be involved in the Private Healthcare Industry.
Education
We support an Education system that takes power away from the federal government and gives it back to the states and local communities. We support the right of students to be able to seek all options in education. We support the use of school vouchers, busing, and tax credits as means to achieve this goal. We as a party support efforts to address the rising cost of secondary education.
Marriage Issues
Our party believes that marriage isn't the responsibility of the government and should be solely a religious decision. In exchange we support the use of civil unions for all couples. The government should not limit anyone's right to marriage, but a church shall reserve the right to deny service if they desire.
Foreign Policy
Defense
The Republican Party is committed to ensure that the U.S. has the finest military force in the world and remains the predominant global power. The United States must be prepared to confront any or all threats both domestically and abroad. We support a pragmatic approach working with our traditional allies to stop aggression by rouge and hostile states.
Immigration
We believe that America must secure its borders. This is a national security imperative and consistent with our nation's devotion to the rule of law. We favor a points-based system, based on the current Canadian model, that accepts entrants based on their level of educational achievement, work experience, and cultural understanding. We believe that those who do not desire citizenship and cannot provide proof of legal status should not be able to utilize government funded services.
